GLC X - The Power of Appreciation | July 2, 2015

Thursday July 2, 2015 was a celebration and appreciation event: The 10th Global Leadership Cafe! We will explored creating better relationships with others through the Power of Appreciation by developing methods of communication that empower you in your interactions with others.

GLC VIII - Embodied Leadership | February 6, 2015

Our 8th installment in the Global Leadership Café series explored Embodied Leadership. We experimented with ways to become aware of and listening to our bodies as leaders. The exercises helped us better understand what qualities we admire and aspire for, and who we are as a leader.

What is Embodied Leadership? How aware are you of your body intelligence? Do you lead from the inside out, or from the outside in? When you take action, do you base your actions on your own values and purpose, or on values most shared with others? How much do expectations, rewards or fear of punishment influence the choices you make?

These are some of the questions that are likely to emerge in our “Embodied Leadership” conversation on February 6th. Come join the conversation and learn how to embody your unique leadership qualities in order to make a positive impact on those around you!

At this Global Leadership Cafe we will explore different understandings of Embodied Leadership and focus in on one definition that connects our body and behavior a leader. Shifts in our body’s physical stance and expression, can change the flow and balance of our natural brain chemistry.

Through participating in activities and discussion we will get clues about how to muster emotional resources we might lack as a leader — simply through changing our body posture or facial expression.

Physically embodying a more assertive or a more subdued tone in the way we choose to lead can also help us understand how our behavior and physical presence resonates with others as we seek their cooperation. Awakening the Dreamer | January 25, 2015

For the first time in Japan, the famed Pachamama Alliance Awakening the Dreamer Symposium was held in Tokyo IN ENGLISH!

The symposium was about the worldwide movement to create:

  • an environmentally sustainable,
  • spiritually fulfilling,
  • socially just,
  • human presence on this planet.
GLC VII - Team Collaboration | November 28, 2014

The seventh instalment in our Global Leadership Café series took on the Team Collaboration theme. It was an important theme for us to explore as the success of our community depends on our ability to collaborate as a Team. It is equally important for companies to explore Team Collaboration to gain a deeper understanding of what it is, why it is important and how to make it happen.

We explored questions like “what GREAT Team Collaboration have you experienced?” and “what can we do to encourage GREAT Team Collaboration in our organizations?”

GLC VI - Staying Foolish | October 3, 2014

 

The  sixth Global Leadership Café was held at Tsukiji Honganji Temple where we experienced a playful challenge involving collaboration, marshmallows and spaghetti before we entered into deep conversations guided by the following questions:

⇒ How can we incorporate play into work?

GLC V - Creative Conflict | June 26, 2014

 

This Global Leadership Café held at Tsukiji Honganji Temple explored and transformed our attitude towards conflict. Our conversation was guided by these questions:

Future of Leadership Forum | May 15, 2014

May 15, 2014, a whole day of dynamic, interactive, experiential dialogue on fresh approaches to leadership at an individual, community, societal and global level at this. We explored the question, “What kind of leadership is required to hospice the death of the old system and midwife the new?”

GLC IV - Relationships to TIME | April 18, 2014
